Privacy Policy — DTG/POD Preflight — Printful Overlay

Summary

DTG/POD Preflight — Printful Overlay (the “Extension”) runs on Printful pages to help you spot potential DTG/POD print risks before ordering. The Extension processes your design locally in your browser. It does not upload your design image to our servers.

If you activate Pro, the Extension sends your license key to Gumroad for verification.

Data We Collect

1) License key (Pro activation)

If you paste a Gumroad license key to activate Pro, the Extension stores the key in your browser’s local extension storage and sends it to Gumroad for verification.

  • Data: license key (text), product id, and a verification request flag
  • Purpose: verify a valid purchase and unlock Pro features
  • Storage: Chrome extension local storage on your device
  • Retention: until you reset/uninstall the Extension (or you clear extension storage)

2) Design image / print file

The Extension reads the design image that you upload in Printful only to analyze it locally.
We do not transmit your design image, pixels, or analysis thumbnails to our servers.

How We Use Data

  • To verify Pro activation (license verification via Gumroad)
  • To enable/disable features based on your license state (Trial/Lite/Pro)

Sharing / Third Parties

We share data only with:

  • Gumroad (license verification): https://gumroad.com/

We do not sell your data.

Permissions

The Extension requests:

  • Access to Printful pages (to display the overlay and read placement size shown on Printful)
  • Access to api.gumroad.com (only for license verification)
  • Storage (to store your settings and license state locally)

Security

License verification is performed over HTTPS. No design images are uploaded by the Extension.

Your Choices

  • You can use the Extension in Trial/Lite without entering a license key.
  • You can clear local data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing the Extension’s storage.
  • If a “Reset” button is provided in the UI, it resets stored settings (and may clear license state depending on your build).
